Just Me, Myself and Richard

Published July 11, 2013 by dennib68

So I’m a little over a third of the way through a road trip to my Dad’s house near Portland, Oregon. I’ve done this trip every summer since 9/11, and even though it’s a two day trip there and the same back, I love it!

I have all of the time in the world to think about anything I want, listen to any music I want, eat when I want, stop when I want. The best part is I don’t have anyone to interrupt my very lovely thoughts about this man

I love being able to listen to Pearl Jam, Rihanna, Coldplay, Louis Armstrong, Zeppelin, Marvin Gaye, Mary J. Blige all mixed up without someone thinking I have a personality disorder. And if I want to listen to Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Simple Kind of Man 4 times in a row and cry while doing it, no one will know…well, except for anyone reading this right now of course **oops**

And I can listen to Richard Armitage read The Siege and Witchfinders as many times as I want!

And did I mention I get to think any lascivious thoughts I want about this man?

  • Hope you traveled safely! I tend to listen to the Georgette Heyer books when I’m on the road, myself … that voice is SO amazing!

    • Yes, I had a very easy time driving up. Nice alone time! Now I get to spend a couple of weeks with my Dad, who I’ve missed a lot, and other family. It will be a great trip. I need to buy those books! As much as I love Richard’s voice, the Robin Hood stories can grow a bit thin after a while!
